The radiotherapy department have treated their first patient using the newly installed Varian ETHOS treatment machine.
The machine is it the forefront of technology and will allow treatments to be adapted on a daily basis with the aim of improving the patient experience while also delivering significantly enhanced treatments.

The machine is one of only a handful around the world which are in clinical use and marks a step change int he way patients are treated. An incredibly exciting time for the department to be able to explore the potential benefits of a new way of treating patients.
The entire team have worked incredibly hard to get to this point and are all proud of their achievement in delivering the clinical service.
